SPORTDANCE 2018

In excess of 20,000 dancers will ultimately register for the eleventh edition of SPORTDANCE, the Italian DanceSport Championships held at the Rimini Fair from 5 through 15 July 2018. While several other open national championships market themselves as the biggest and best attended, SPORTDANCE is likely the one that tops any of the lists by absolute standards.

No other event - not the GOC, not the ROC, nor any of the other mega-championships we know of - comes close to such a participation figure. To achieve it - together with a cumulative audience figure of 200,000 - an organisation must take the inclusive view on DanceSport. The Italian DSanceSport Federation does just that, recognising that DanceSport is made up of 30 different disciplines and a total of 53 events.
